Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce a 21st-century character framework. This study is urgent as an innovation in 21st-century character-based attitude assessment for prospective teacher students. This is based on the difficulty of conducting assessments and reporting the results of student attitude assessments. The method used is a systematic literature review. The database used to search for literature uses a digital library, namely the Scopus Database. For the selected literature to be relevant, the search uses the keywords "character AND education"AND "21st-century"OR "21st-century"OR "21st-century skills"in the Title, Abstract, and Keywords columns. From these keywords, 211 research documents were found. Furthermore, the researcher limited the subject area to social science, arts and humanities, and psychology. In this limitation, 114 search result documents were produced. The researcher focused the selection on articles displaying competencies representing 21st-century skills and character. The remaining documents to be reviewed were 15. The synthesis of this research produced a competency framework for 21st-century character-based attitude assessment. © 2025 Author(s).
