The research aims to build project-based learning resources for Gravimetric analysis that can facilitate students to learn actively in improving higher order thinking skills and competence in chemical analysis. The research was conducted with involvement of 58 students, 15 students for trial phase and 43 students in the implementation phase which were grouped into experimental and control classes. Package of standard project-based innovative learning resource has successfully been developed for Gravimetric analysis consisted of mini projects, learning multimedia, and hyperlinks to guide students to learn independently. The quality of learning resources is classified as very good (M=3.73±0.05). Implementation of innovative learning resources is proven to be able to develop high order thinking skills. Students' higher order thinking ability was very good (M=85.41±0.52), and the mark from portfolio of submitted projects is very good (M=83.57±7.54). Student learning outcomes in the experimental class (M=84.29±5.39) were higher than the control group (M=77.02±4.51). The developed learning resource is very effective in building student curiosity, analytical skills and the ability to conclude data results based on their knowledge and learning experience. © 2023 Author(s).
