This study investigates the impact of project-based learning and the e-diagnostic assessment model on learning quality in English language teaching at the primary school level, focusing on the direct and indirect effects of the project-based English teaching method on students’ learning quality and the mediating role of the e-diagnostic assessment model in this process. In this study, an inferential quantitative research design was applied. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Validity and reliability analyses were performed in the measurement model, and path coefficients and mediating effects were tested in the structural model. The study was conducted with 150 students participating in project-based English learning in Medan, Indonesia. The findings showed that project-based English teaching had a significant and positive effect on both learning quality and the applicability of the e-diagnostic assessment model. Furthermore, it was determined that the e-diagnostic assessment model significantly improved learning quality and acted as a mediating factor in the effect of project-based teaching on learning quality. These results show that technology-supported, student-centered teaching approaches are effective in improving learning quality. © 2026 Children Research Center. All rights reserved.
